Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Supervisor to manage the day to day operations of our service department. The right candidate will manage approximately 4-6 watchmakers. This candidate will be responsible to supporting all brand initiatives and set current and any future standards. This candidate will work closely with our Director of Boutiques to continue to grow the department and make suggestions on how to improve workflow and efficiency.
Requirements
These are some of the skills we are looking for with our next Technical Supervisor:
Level 60 Rolex watchmaker – Must have a strong understanding of Rolex watches through level 60 and be able to help watchmakers and polishing team troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Understand and Interpret Rolex service offers. Must be able to answer sales team’s questions when asked about Rolex service offers.
Preparing Rolex service estimates. Must review incoming watch services to determine which services can be done in house and which need to go to Rolex. For watches kept in house, must be able to prepare clear and concise service estimates according to Rolex service guidelines.
Quality Control. Must clearly understand Rolex QC standards and be able to lead others performing QC testing and make clear decisions regarding works performed.
Quick Service. Must be able to work in a busy environment to perform quick services including bracelet sizing, strap changes, clasp repairs, bezel repairs etc…
Spare Parts Management. Must be familiar with Rolex spare parts ordering and be able to manage and maintain an organized, visual, and traceable inventory.
Tools Management. Must be familiar with tools and equipment used in the workshop and be able to troubleshoot and maintain to Rolex’ standards.
Coordination. Must be able to coordinate a large number of jobs through the shop to maintain a turnaround time of under 4 weeks.
Authentication. Must be able to determine the authenticity of jobs being presented to ensure only original Rolex manufactured pieces are being handled in the workshop.
